I was clearing the studio of old stencils, ones that were hanging from a line strung along the ceiling. I have four rows of garden twine, each about four or five metres long, that were packed with old stencils. You can see one photo of them here, in fact. Anyway, they were really starting to get in the way and I realized I wasn't using most of them. I thought I'd photograph them before sticking them in the bin.

You'll notice some of them have cardboard 'frames', which means they were likely street stencils. The purpose of the frames as to make it easier to pull them from my bag and put them back whilst painting on the street. Speed is important when it comes to illegal work, so the cardboard frames really speed it all up!
