Art you can drink from

(Check out the little animation at the bottom of the page to see the inspiration for the glass, otherwise I’ve made the workshop smell of beer for no good reason)

It's officially Summer in England now, which means a number of things. Inflating a swimming pool that's offensively tiny, wearing shorts until October and realizing our houses are built for neither hot nor cold climates, which would be sort of impressive if not for the fact that we have to live in them.

Fortunately, it also means it's time to have a nice drink in the sun. So with that in mind, I've made a glass! As a homebrewer of beer for over twelve years and counting, I'm obviously pouring a lot of beer into mine. And it does an exquisite job of holding it and putting it exactly where it needs to go: my gob. Honestly, it's so much better than cupping it in my hands.

But lo, those days are over! And in the name of rigorous testing, I've used the glass for the past couple weeks (mostly to make sure the screen printed design is robust enough, which it is!) and, miraculously, it can hold icy water, sodas, juices, highballs and spiders found in the bedroom that need catupulting out the window.

So! The glass is now available right here, which comes in an equally lovely screen printed box and there's even a discount if you buy two so that whoever you're clinking glasses with doesn't get jealous.

Cheers! Salute! Prost! Sante! Kanpai! Skal!
