My characters are 100% alive to me. When I see a weird space in the street, I know what they're going to do with it in an instant. And when I'm in the workshop making a piece, I see exactly what they're going to get up to. A part of my brain is dedicated to seeing the world their way.

This means ideas aren't the hardest part. The hardest part is having the patience to finish what I've started because there's always a new idea popping up. And so when I started this little stop motion animation (you can watch it below), I thought, well, how long could one minute of animation really take? A week tops, right?

It took over three times longer. Three and a half weeks of drawing, voicing, CNC cutting, sanding, spraying, more sanding, more spraying, stenciling, shooting, acting and editing.

So I hope I made you forget that you were looking at a series of quickly shifting pieces of stenciled wood (even if it was just for a few seconds) and you saw them as alive and inquisitive as I do.

I don't have much use for the 112 unique wooden frames used to bring this animation to life now, so rather than languishing at the back of a forgotten drawer, I've made them available here That's of course if you don't mind being constantly bothered by one of these curious little figures.

Important note: The figure you receive will be entirely random, however if you place an order for more than one figure, I’ll make sure that the figures are from different scenes. For example, if you order three figures, I’ll include one figure from the ‘waking’ scene, one from the ‘leaning’ scene and one from the ‘sweeping’ scene. Oh and for the figures that are leaning on the wood stack in the animation, I’ve made and attached them to sexy, little, coloured rectangles.
