My idea of spontaneity is doing something suddenly...in a week's time...maybe.
So I'm not a chaotic or messy person by any stretch of the imagination but I really enjoyed the first 'No Blank Walls' series, so I have made things bigger and messier.
What took me by surprise is how much I love all the spray paint dripping down, running in channels and covering the figures that are fooling about in this maze I've made for them. Their little feet covered in paint! I'm guilty of sometimes planning things too much and so these pieces are a fantastic antidote to that.
Yes, I thought I could say it's about 'staying true to your colours' and maybe that's true but it's actually more simple than that. It's about the pure love of colour and spray paint and not always overthinking things. They were fun to make, I hope they're fun to look at and, most importantly, I hope you are well.
